Five Habits of Healthy People
1. Put down your phone before bed.
Spending too much time staring at your screen before bedtime means taking longer to get to deep stages of sleep, and staying in them for shorter periods of time. Your body needs those deeper sleep stages to recharge and repair from daily events.
2. Hydrate.
Don't let yourself wilt like a forgotten plant! Drink water throughout the day to feel more awake - and look it, too! Water really is the magic potion - it can give you a mental and physical boost. Keep a water bottle at your desk and refill it throughout the day.
3. Make your house a home.
Your home should be somewhere you genuinely like to be. You should feel comfortable and calm there. Create a safe, peaceful environment by getting rid of clutter, filling your home with calming aromas, and letting light in.
4. Make time for sleep.
Don't cheat your bedtime. Adults should get 6-8 hours of sleep. A good sleep schedule will help you feel less irritable and moody and help boost your energy throughout the day.
5. Schedule workouts in advance.
Make time for exercising so that it becomes a part of your everyday routine. If you commit to 30 minutes a day and plan ahead, you'll be more likely to do it than if you just hope you have time at the end of the day.
